Respect for people & fair work
We work mainly with independent artisans, families, and small workshops.
We believe everyone involved in making our products should be treated with dignity and respect and work in safe and fair conditions.
Respect for cultural heritage
Many of the techniques, textiles, and crafts we work with have deep cultural roots.
We see traditional craft not simply as a style, but as living knowledge worth preserving.
Materials: honesty over claims
We are drawn to natural materials and traditional fibers such as Himalayan nettle, wool, raw silk, hemp, cotton, and khadi.
Some of the materials we use are certified organic, while others are wild-grown, traditionally produced, or conventionally sourced.
We believe transparency is more important than making broad sustainability claims.
When a material is certified organic, recycled, wild-grown, handmade, or produced using a particular traditional process, we will clearly state this in the product description.
We do not want to describe a material as something it is not.
Care for the Earth
We favor natural fibers, handmade processes, and small-scale production over heavily industrialized production whenever possible.
Most traditional techniques naturally use less machinery and rely more on human skill.
At the same time, we recognize that every product has an environmental impact. We do not claim to be perfectly sustainable.
Instead, we try to make better choices where we can and continue learning how to reduce our impact.
Textile waste & mindful making
We try to make use of the materials already available to us and avoid unnecessary textile waste.
Fabric remnants and smaller leftover pieces from production are often reused to create other items such as handmade bags, wallets, cases, and small accessories rather than simply being discarded.
Because much of our production is handmade and small-scale, we are also able to work more closely with the materials we have and find uses for pieces that might otherwise become waste.
Product accuracy & transparency
Handmade products are naturally different from factory-made products.
Small variations in weave, texture, color, stitching, or shape are often part of the process and make each piece unique.
We aim to represent our products as accurately as possible through photographs and descriptions and to clearly explain the materials and techniques used.
Continuous improvement
There is no such a thing as a perfectly sustainable business.
There is always more to learn and more that can be improved.
Every small choice matters .
